Exciting opportunity to research into the development of nanocatalysts or zeolites for their application in green H2 production or biomass transformation
Base Salary (Level A) $105,314 - $116,679 p.a + 17% superannuation

This is an exciting opportunity from the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Catalysis Engineering to join the dynamic catalysis group for green-house gas capture and conversion as well as sustainable hydrogen production.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
work with the supervisory team to design and fabricate new nanocatalysts
optimise and scale up the synthesis of catalyst materials
design and set up reaction process and characterisation equipment necessary for research
carry out experiments to evaluate catalysts and reactors
analyse and interpret data to write publications and prepare proposals
utilise both internal and external networks to broaden expertise and guide delivery of project objectives
About you

a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials or related field
expertise in the synthesis of nanocatalysts and/or zeolites
knowledge and experience in advanced catalysts and/or porous materials characterisation methodologies, such as solid-state NMR, microscopy, and in-situ spectroscopy
strong teamwork skills that are suitable for a research group that includes a mixture of undergraduate students, graduate students, post-docs and senior academic staff, under the direction of a supervisor
good written (e.g. technical reports and scientific journal publications) and oral communication skills
an excellent track record in scientific journal publications
demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
